Based in the West Midlands, we are an associate collective of AI Trainers with hands-on professional experience across HR & OD, Sales & Marketing and Education.
We deliver face-to-face and online training, across the country.
What we do
AI Training
Our training team isn't techy, and while most of us can duplicate a screen and plug in an HDMI, we're not IT specialists. Our approach is rooted in presenting things simply and practically, working with you and your team to develop the skills and confidence to use 'everyday' AI tools in support of what you do.
Above all, we know how to make AI training accessible and fun - designed and delivered in plain English.
AI Architecture
For clients who want to talk 'assistants' and build 'agents', we have some incredibly talented colleagues who will work with you to develop a brief and scope your plans, usually based on your current AI tools. Whether it's looking at streamlining a CRM system or analysing sales and marketing campaigns and strategies, they can talk you through the possibilities and potential of AI functionality, now or in the future.

The Human in the Loop
At Plain English AI, our focus is you, the human in the loop, what you want AI to do for you, and how you want to interact with it, professionally and personally.
Our view is that ethics, guardrails and polices are the cornerstones of the safe and considered use of AI. We call them the AI Fundamentals, they're referenced throughout our training and we actively encourage our clients to look to embed them in policy, procedure and practice from the outset.
Yes, there are pitfalls and perils, and absolutely, it can seem a bit perplexing at times, which is why our approach is pragmatic, practical and plain speaking.

Tailored, typically, as 1:1 consultancy sessions, we collaborate to identify pinch points and workflows that AI application and/or intervention could help to improve or mitigate. The aim is to automate back office functions and free up your time to do what you do best. We upskill on the basics whilst developing a bespoke roadmap for you and your business to adapt and implement.
Training for Schools
Available as twilight and PD-ready sessions.
Designed and delivered by education and safeguarding professionals, we workshop the opportunities afforded by AI in support of teaching and learning, reducing workload and promoting inclusion, whilst ensuring that data protection, safeguarding and online safety are continually at the forefront of planning and resourcing.

HR Policy Handbooks

Review and redraft of Staff Handbooks, company policies and statutory guidance. Design and implementation of bespoke Assistants and Agents for staff use and referral.
Design and delivery of a series of bespoke training sessions for customer services and complaints handling teams, using 'free' AI tools.
Upskilling office managers to devolve and disseminate training across the staff complement.

Custom-built, AI-powered email parser to extract key information and convert and categorise enquiries before assigning them to the appropriate team member.
Report generation, automation of 'follow-up' emails after a prescribed period. Lead enrichment and 'always on' monitoring of leads and pre-drafting of a follow-up email for team review.

Connection of CRM directly to desktop AI assistants so staff can interact via Chat Interface and Command Line extraction of data for power users.
A note for our Charity friends...
Like most of you, we're a small team with bills and overheads, but as training professionals we are keen to help our charity partners where we can. To do this, each month, we offer up to THREE charitable organisations, a FREE 1-hour session on AI Basics.
We work around our other commitments, which essentially means that these sessions are online and 'out of hours', in so much as they are typically delivered between 8-9am and 5.30-6.30pm.
Some basic Ts & Cs apply - mainly, you need to be a charity - but if we can help you and your team to use and maximise your time and effort in support of what you do and who you do it for, then we'd love to chat.
